Book Fair Notice to Parents

The EMS Learning Commons is proud to announce our Buy-One-Get-One Free Scholastic Book Fair, running April 29th to May 3rd, 2024! Book Fairs allow our students to choose materials that interest them all while benefiting the EMS Learning Commons collection and activities! Students will visit through their Connections class. As Book Fair books are sold for personal use, the Columbia County School District Policies on instructional materials do not apply. The book fair materials are selected and provided by a third-party vendor, Scholastic Books. This company has given ratings to the texts they provide.

By your child bringing money to spend in our EMS Book Fair, you consent to allow the purchase of any text that Scholastic Books has rated for children 12 and younger. 

Any child who would like to purchase a text that Scholastic Books has rated for children 13 and older or which rings up at the cash register as “Mature” must return the attached form with a parent or guardian signature granting permission to do so.

As the Buy-One-Get-One Free Scholastic Book Fair is a warehouse sale event, title availability is based on Scholastic Books’s inventory. All titles come in limited quantities and will not be restocked. No holds will be given to books as the fair is first-come, first-served.

Parents are welcome to attend the Book Fair with their child on Thursday, May 2, 2024, during the child’s lunch time. Lunch times range from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. No prior notice is required to attend. Please bring a picture ID and sign in at the Front Office to attend the Fair.
