Veterans Assembly Information
Wednesday, November 8, 2023 will be Evans Middle School’s assembly to honor our Veterans.
The program will be 9:00-10:15 a.m. in the Gym.
Students will leave their backpacks in the classroom.
We will have all students wearing the “Honoring our Veterans” shirt sit together as a section.
Students with guests attending will be given a specific flag sticker and they will sit in a section together.
All other students will sit by class with their teacher.
At the end of the assembly there will be a Warrior Walk around the school (10:00-10:15).
Students wearing the Evans Knights “Honoring Our Veterans” shirt, students wearing the flag stickers, and guests may participate in the Warrior Walk.
Once they exit the gym to begin the Warrior Walk, the remaining students will be dismissed by grade level to go back to their classes.
*Honoring our Veterans” Shirts* Must be ordered by Tuesday, Oct. 17.
Shirts are $25 and can be paid for on RevTrak. Cash or checks made out to EMS may be paid to
Mrs. Baggott in the Chorus Room.
To support military families, $10 will go to the Fisher House charity organization.
We are asking veterans, parents, and guests to RSVP by completing the RSVP Google form posted in the grade level Google classrooms. This way we know how many guests are coming and the student who invited them. There will be reserved seating for guests.
Again, this year, we will have a slideshow recognizing our Veterans. We are asking students, teachers, and staff who want to recognize a veteran in their life to complete the google form and include pictures and other relevant information for the slideshow. This will be posted in the grade level google classroom, as well.
